Renewal season is here: what NGOs need to file before Ashadh ends
Every fiscal year, organisations registered under the Associations Registration Act must renew at their District Administration Office before the end of Ashadh. Miss the window and you face late fees — and in some districts, a fresh recommendation letter from the ward office.
This year we called fifteen DAOs to ask what they actually require at the counter. The short list is consistent: last year’s renewal certificate, the audit report, minutes of the general assembly, and the tax clearance letter. A few districts now also ask for the PAN certificate photocopy up front.
If your organisation is listed with us and your renewal is complete, reply to our verification email with the new certificate number — we update the listing the same week.
And if you’re stuck somewhere in the process, write to us. We can’t intervene, but we can usually tell you what worked for other organisations in your district.
