NGOs of Nepal is an independent portal. We are not a government body — we simply gather publicly available registration records in one place, so that citizens, donors and researchers can find organisations easily.
How NGO registration works in Nepal
Registration under the Associations Registration Act, 2034 (1977), renewed each fiscal year at the district where the organisation is headquartered.
Affiliation required to receive foreign funding or partner with international organisations, with annual reporting to the Council.
What we verify
Before an organisation appears here, a volunteer checks its DAO registration number and SWC affiliation against the public registers, and confirms the contact details by phone or email. We re-check listings when renewals lapse.
A listing here is not an endorsement. Always do your own due diligence before donating or partnering.
Adding or correcting a listing
If you run a registered NGO that isn't listed, or you spot outdated information, please write to us. Corrections are usually published within a week.

Use the "List your NGO" form with your DAO or SWC registration number and a contact person we can reach. A volunteer checks the details against the public registers before publishing, which usually takes about a week.
We re-check a listing whenever its renewal is due. If a renewal lapses, the profile stays up but gains a note saying so, and we follow up again the next quarter.
No, we do not process donations or payments. Each profile lists an organisation's own contact details so you can reach them directly if you'd like to support their work.
